I have lived in San Francisco for about 4 years now, and I have personally been a witness to the strives, and struggles that we face on a daily basis. This is why I have decided to run for Supervisor in District 6.
Some of the issues that I will address, and with the help of you, we will make District 6 #1, in San Francisco:
Central City, which includes the Tenderloin, SOMA, and Lower Knob Hill, has seen an increase in the amount of crime. I have worked closely with the Captain of the Tenderloin Station, and will continue to work with the other local law enforcement agencies including the Police Commission. I know how hard it is to take your children to a corner park, and be accosted by someone selling drugs, or getting physically assaulted.
Together, will accomplish a safe, friendly for the future of our children, and the sanctity of our lives.
Homelessness= no home. How hard is it to grasp this solution? Equitable Low Income Housing Units.
This is our solution. There is land available on Treasure Island. Currently, the Mayor and Planning Commission have not gone forth and created a stable unit of housing. I know there will be some advocates with the argument of "You will just be isolating the homeless on Treasure Island"
How? If someone has a home, then they are not homeless.
There are more stores dedicated to Liquor sales, than bread or milk. I see a neighborhood, where I can walk out my front door, and not have to worry about taking a bus 20 blocks away, just for a dozen of eggs, especially on Treasure Island. Let's make sure that there is no Monopoly of grocery stores. There is only limited access, currently located on Treasure Island, and that stores are a vital asset to our lives. Our economy gains strength, when we spend on local establishments.
